Hi Peter, good point about the EFL, I should do more. One of the reasons for doing the substack was the ability to vary topics, rather than the more narrow focus of newspapers (not blaming them, they're commercial entities). I write a lot about the importance of the pyramid, especially in regards to PL funding. But will do more.

Players moan to much about the amount of games. In years gone by players played far more games and only had a couple subs and the pitches were much worse than today. Replays to. They won’t take less money for less games that’s for sure.
In Ange's defence, everyone is talking about set pieces but it was his front fix that let him down at the weekend. His football has always been about attack and out-scoring opposition. He needs Maddison, Son, Kulusevski firing like the early stages of last season. Don't write this Spurs team off yet!
certainly wouldn't write Spurs off, they've got some good players, and have recruited (and developed) some young ones well. The set-piece thing is annoying, it seems such an obvious element to work on.
When things developed more recently, my first move was to seek youout! ‘What is Henry saying about all this?’ This led to shock that you were no longer with a ‘major’ newspaper. I was hugely pleased to discover that you were still operating, under your own steam as it were.
Whilst I may not always agree with some opinions, I value your integrity, openness, and, most importantly, your thorough research.
So as we enter the final(?) stages of what I still think could be existential happenings, thank-you for being there!

Being a home and away Forest fan your comments about Nuno are spot on. They sang his name at Newcastle away on Boxing Day. I turned to my wife ( Xmas treat you see😂) and said too soon. Glad we have moved on. I always thought Moreno and Aina were going to be our full backs. Both cheap and full of quality.
Being bought up near Brum as a kid with loads of Villa mates all I heard was Gary Shaw. I had no idea he was ill. Hope he’s ok makes your feel old

Fair, as much as Ange does say publicly he won't change, he does need to do something about goals against from set pieces.

So pleased for Nuno. I went to see him last season and he looked a bit weary under the pressure. So great to see him flying. Fingers crossed for Gary.
