Ipswich have some very exciting talent, among them Leif Davis who is adjusting well to the demands of the Prem League. Great to see Omari H and the under employed Graham Potter get a name check from you Henry. Humility, good naturedness and being nice are as important as goals and assists, if not more so :)

Perfectly put, Simon. Davis excellent yesterday. Caught out by Amad early on but otherwise very good.

Nice words about Omari Henry . His performances are getting better as the season progresses. He is such a hard working young player, he has so much potential , and is obviously loving learning under McKenna.

18th position does not represent the team’s commitment, and I truly believe that we will rise a few places over the next couple of months .

As you will have noted , the connection between the team and fans is immense , and this will remain essential through the next few months . It’s fantastic to see Portman road full , noisy and an exciting place to watch football these days . It will be monumental to stay up, but I believe we have the core players to do that

hope you stay up, Andrew. I got a text from David Sheepshanks before kickoff, he's so proud of the Club. Always a joy of a club to deal with. I was doing radio but took my head-cans off a couple of time to appreciate fully the noise. Proper atmosphere. Good luck for the rest of the season, Henry

As always, an interesting take on the weekend and its talking points. I know that Potter seems favourite for the Leicester job - what do you think of David Moyes in that role? Potentially a safer pair of hands than Potter, who has been out of the game for some while now?

Thank you for calling out the food poverty chanting. Sadly more than a few of my fellow Brentford fans did the same at Goodison on Saturday. I actually asked one in front of me if he would like the address of the Hounslow Foodbank so he could make a much needed donation to them on his return to west London. Surprisingly, he refused my offer....

Mo Salah's situation might be complicated by Ben Doak's contract being up in either 2025 or 2026. There seems to be some confusion outside of Anfield about the exact date.

If Salah signed an offered new contract then where would Doak be happy to extend at Anfield and go on loan again for the next couple of terms?

Doak has only just turned 19, he'd still get games in the cups, and coming on for Salah, developing nicely like Foden did at City. Perhaps a year on loan, gaining minutes. Salah is delivering huge numbers here and now, so I'd be amazed if LFC let him walk next summer.

10 excellent points these. Big tests ahead for Pep and Walker’s legs appear to have gone against top pace.

Pleased for O’Neil and Potter should get the Leicester job. Don’t feel Cooper can handle bigger name players on the Premier League. Prefers coaching younger less high profile players as shown at Forest, Swansea and England youth teams.

Kulusevski without doubt one of the players of the season so far. Nice player to watch.

good point about Cooper with younger players. Still had a few strong characters at Forest - and certainly one in the boardroom!

Agree on the owner at Forest. He has all the power. Doesn’t interfere in the teams a manager picks though. I think the board did let Cooper down a bit by not buying a striker in the summer. Have wasted a lot in recent years though.

As you said about Salah is different to most other 30 somethings. He has that drive of Ronaldo and Messi to keep going and chasing records. I imagine it’s the length of contract that is the problem. They need to make an exception with him. Still in great shape and never misses a game it seems. But can’t feel to sorry for him. If he decides to leave he knows he has the big pay day on offer in Saudi who will give him what he and his agent want.
