Excellent points Henry. As usual for a Monday. The next squad if everyone is fit does leave plenty to choose from. Amazing really. Can’t believe you admitted you left out Stones from original list. Although considering he hardly plays these days it’s probably understandable. Chilwell has no chance of getting near the squad unless he moves and I can’t see Mason Mount ever getting another game for England. He is going to be on the bench at best at Man Utd and he has had to many injuries anyway now. Weak body. England have moved on from him. It would be some recovery if Rashford ever came close to the squad under Tuchel. His work rate is non existent most of the time and the hunger has gone and the stories you hear about this attitude now are concerning. What a waste.

Tuchel is his own man and he will do what he wants. Can’t see him playing 3-4-3 like at Chelsea. Played a four at Bayern and players prefer this. Some great young talent in that squad though. Hope Hall gets a run at left back now. Madueke was superb in the two games and Jones belongs at this level. Can he keep it going now with more expectations on him.

Despite Harry Kane getting his 3 week winter break last season at Bayern people still said he was tired and sluggish at the Euro’s. The excuse will never leave England at tournaments.

I wish Tuchel all the best. Nationality makes no difference. Howe would have been my choice but I really don’t think he wanted the job and FA were never going to pay.

Henry -- An interesting squad of 44 (well, 45) but would make me happy if you'd stop using the term "No 10s" to describe all midfielders except the defensive ones. Two or three of those in your list are genuine No 10s; some would like to be thought of as such (and will be better players when their duties are more clearly defined); others aren't and will never be.

Fair point, Richard, it's more a catch-all for that central role, differentiating them from wide and obviously the deeper. regards

No John Stones in your suggested squad Henry? Was that an oversight? Also I don’t buy the Eddie Howe love in, what has he actually won? Newcastle aren’t exactly setting the PL on fire, and most of his managerial career was at a lowly Bournemouth as they were then, and then got them relegated, they’re doing a lot better now.

I knew I'd miss one! Absolutely Stones, he's probably a starter under Tuchel. Have updated. As for Howe, it's really simply because I'd have preferred an Englishman, but as there isn't sufficient quality it's rightly gone to Tuchel. He's pretty highly regarded amongst players and other managers.

I like Howe and the fact he is still employed by NUFC is a good thing. When PIF took over I’m pretty sure they thought we will get this guy in to steady the waters. but eventually we want a world class name to go with a world class team. Howe has been too successful for this to happen. A poor transfer window has not stopped the establishment of a top ten team. NUFC can be content with life at the moment. It’s easy to look at AVFC and say, ‘Hey why have we not got that’ but from the outside looking in, he and Tindall have done a good job.
